A New Chapter — Tunisian Representation at the EKF Fully Recognised

Tunisian kendo turns an important page in its history today.

Following the General Assembly of the European Kendo Federation (EKF), held on 18 June 2026 in Podgorica, Montenegro, the difficulties surrounding Tunisian representation now belong to the past. The legitimacy and recognition of Tunisian representation are fully established, opening the way to serene cooperation and new horizons for our practitioners.

This progress is the fruit of long and patient work, carried out with determination, transparency, and respect for national and international institutions.

We extend our sincere thanks to the members of the Executive Board of the Tunisian Kendo League and to our Technical Direction. Their commitment, their patience, and their unwavering trust in institutions were decisive throughout this period. Despite the difficulties, they always chose dialogue, regulatory procedure, and the higher interest of Tunisian kendo.

The way this crisis was handled reflects the very values that ground our discipline. Faithful to the spirit of Bushido, we chose rectitude over confrontation, respect over animosity, patience over haste, and honour over personal interest. We placed our trust in national and international sporting institutions, convinced that truth, legitimacy, and respect for the rules would ultimately prevail.

The time for division is over; the time to build has come. Together, let us continue to develop kendo in Tunisia, strengthen our clubs, support our practitioners, and keep building bridges between Tunisia, Japan, and the international kendo community.

This step marks not an end, but a new beginning.
