Accommodation & Transport
If you’re attending our event and looking for nearby places to stay, here’s a quick guide to accommodations around Belvédère and Lafayette — all conveniently located at 5 to minutes walking distance from our event venue.
Accommodation
Both Belvédère and Lafayette provide a wide range of lodging options, from modern hotels to serviced apartments and guesthouses.
Belvédère is known for its calm atmosphere and proximity to Parc du Belvédère, the city’s largest green space, offering a pleasant environment for walking and relaxation.
Lafayette, on the other hand, reflects a more urban character — lively streets, historic buildings, and a mix of residential and commercial activity.

Food
You’ll find numerous cafés and restaurants in both neighborhoods, offering Tunisian and international cuisine.
Belvédère features a calm dining atmosphere close to the park, while Lafayette offers a more vibrant urban food scene, with local eateries, bakeries, and coffee shops spread across its streets.
Meals are typically served from midday to late evening, and cafés remain open throughout the day.
Sightseeing
Belvédère and Lafayette are ideal starting points for exploring Tunis.
Belvédère offers access to green spaces and scenic walks within the park, while Lafayette is closer to cultural venues, galleries, and shopping areas.
Both neighborhoods are within a short distance of the city’s historical center, making it easy to reach the Medina of Tunis, Avenue Habib Bourguiba, and other landmarks by taxi or public transport.
Transport from Tunis–Carthage Airport to Belvédère & Lafayette
Tunis–Carthage International Airport is located only about 6 to 8 kilometers from the Belvédère and Lafayette districts, making them among the most accessible areas in the city. The trip usually takes 15 to 25 minutes, depending on traffic and time of day.
By Taxi
Taxis are available directly outside the airport’s arrival terminal.
They operate 24 hours a day and are the most convenient option for reaching Belvédère or Lafayette.
All official taxis in Tunis are yellow and equipped with a meter (“compteur”). It’s recommended to ensure the driver uses it before departure.
Estimated fare: between 10 and 20 Tunisian dinars (TND), depending on traffic and luggage.
Fares may increase slightly at night or during rush hours.
It’s advisable to have small bills available, as drivers may not always provide change for larger notes.
By Ride-Hailing Apps
Several ride-hailing apps such as Yassir, and InDriver operate in Tunis.
These services often provide more transparent pricing and digital payment options.
Simply set your drop-off point to “Belvédère” or “Lafayette, Tunis,” and the app will calculate the route and cost automatically.
This option is convenient, especially if you arrive late at night or prefer cashless transactions.
By Public Transport
While public buses connect the airport to downtown Tunis, they are not recommended for first-time visitors or travelers with luggage due to limited space and irregular schedules.
However, for those familiar with the city, buses run from the airport terminal to Tunis-Ville (Downtown), from where Belvédère and Lafayette are a short taxi ride away.
Accessibility
Both Belvédère and Lafayette are central neighborhoods with wide streets, good signage, and proximity to main roads such as Avenue Kheireddine Pacha and Avenue de Paris.
Once you arrive, most destinations within the area are easily reachable by foot or a short taxi ride.
